Top 10 Turkish TV Series that you can start to binge-watch right away

Lately, we have been binge-watching shows not just on weekends but also on weekdays.

It’s the after effects of staying at home for more than 6+ months right?

I will not blame you if you are in search of new shows that have good content, interesting storyline, different culture, and regional references too.

After all, how much of the same drama can we keep watching? After a point, they all seem to feel alike. Then there is our Indian TV Drama that seems to move at a pace that’s even slower than a turtle.

Even in my house, there is a need to find and shortlist the best TV series across all genres and regions. While I was performing this search, I landed into the soup of the famous Turkish TV Series. Mind you, they have some of the best Drama, Romance, Thrill, and mystery series.

After binge-watching Turkish Drama for almost a year, here is my list of Top 10 Turkish TV Series that you can start to binge-watch right away.

1.The Protector on Netflix:

This epic Turkish TV Series is available on Netflix. This fantasy drama has 4 Seasons and with the finale episode, it totals to 32 episodes. The story revolves around a quest of the Protector (Muhaafiz) to find the magical instruments to fight against the immortal demons and save the city. From the quest to mysteries to some history and romance, this Series can be binge-watched in 1 or 2 weekends max depending on your speed. So what are you watching for, find that tub of popcorn and start now!

2. Ertugrul Gazi:

Ertugrul is a story of the 13th Century Turkish Warrior Ertugrul Ghazi – A nomad tribe who was a ruler for 300 years. Ertuğrul or Ertuğrul Gazi was none other than the father of the famous Osman I – who founded the Ottoman Empire. Watch this historic Islamic Drama spread across 5 Seasons on YouTube in Urdu. I have been watching this Turkish TV Series in Urdu for Free on YouTube TRF channel, where 2 full Pakistan Dubbed versions are available and Season 5 is going on, every week 5 new episodes are released. Trust me watching with subtitles might spoil the drama for you. So take your pick accordingly, but it’s worth the time. 

3. The Gift Turkish TV Series:

The Gift is a fantasy and science fiction drama that just released it’s 3rd and last Season on Netflix. The story revolves around the renowned Painter (Atiye) and her journey to find the universal secrets linked to her past, present, and future. It’s a mystery drama with a hint of romance. It’s intriguing and keeps you hooked. You can binge-watch this one easily on the weekend.

4. The Promise:

“Yemin” or “The Promise” is a romantic Turkish Drama that you can watch for free on MX Player as well as on YouTube. It’s a love story based on a promise made between Reyhan (the female lead) and Hikmet (who is Reyhan’s uncle) to marry Emir (Son of Hikmet) and the journey undertaken to fulfil and sustain the promise. A total of 283 episodes has been dubbed and released in Hindi and currently showing Season 3. This Turkish TV Series has a total of 3 Seasons and 354+ Episodes to entertain you for a long time.

5. Rise of Empires: Ottoman:

The documentary drama of Rising of Empires: Ottoman is a short 6 episode Historical drama. It’s also the real-life story of Mehmed II, the son of Murad and his journey and struggles to conquer Constantinople and how the Roman Empire fell. There’s a beautiful depiction of History in 1 interesting season that has 6 episodes, which just shouldn’t be missed. I binge-watched this series in one day.

6. My Sweet Lie:

The is a romantic Turkish TV Series drama. My Sweet Lie, is also known as Benim Tatli Yalanim in Turkey. There are 95 episodes and full Season 1 that is dubbed in Hindi. It is available on MX Player to watch it for free or you can watch the entire Turkish tv dramas with English subtitles on YouTube.

7. Woman (Kadın):

This Turkish Drama is a story of a woman who is trying to give a better life to her kids. But in the process, she meets different women and how it all connects and their struggle, motivation, journey to achieve the best is remarkable. This is one of the best Turkish shows that is all about challenges in life and their journey to overcome the same. Currently, there are 101 episodes of “Woman” dubbed in Hindi Season 1 and they are available to watch it for free on MX Player.

8. Our Story:

This Romantic Turkish TV Series has 2 Seasons with a total of 200 episodes available on MX Player (dubbed in Hindi). You can watch the complete series now and don’t have to wait for new episodes to get uploaded. “Our story” is about a girl name Filiz who is the oldest sibling in the family of 6 children; trying to make the ends meet for the family. This show is the adaptation of the famous series “Shameless” showing their challenges, struggle, bond, and above all their love for each other. A sweet love story that should be watched for sure.

9. Forbidden Fruit or Shajar-e-Mamnu (Yasak Elma):

This is a famous romantic Turkish TV Series which is a story of 2 sisters Zeyneb and Yildiz, how their life is connected yet apart. One of the sisters tries to acquire the Forbidden fruit i.e. she wants to marry a man who is 30 years older than her but exceptionally rich. The price they must pay and how their story evolves after that is interesting to watch and know. This series has a total of 4 Seasons. You can watch the first 3 seasons on Youtube which is dubbed in Urdu and its called Shajar-e-Mamnu on Urdu1 Official channel. Season 1 was also available as Forbidden Fruit (Hindi Dubbed) on MX player but they pulled down the show.

10. The Girl Named Feriha:

This Turkish Drama is a story of Feriha who lives in a luxurious neighborhood, while his dad works as the caretaker of the building. She tries to live a parallel life in college pretending to be a part of the rich and famous tribe. Will her parents find out her dual life? Or will her friends outcast her knowing her reality is what unfolds in this Turkish Drama spread over 2 seasons with 174 episodes. You can watch this full series dubbed in Hindi on MX Player.
