We do want to go to places without really traveling, as the busy and hectic schedule of ours leaves us with no option. London Taxi in Lower Parel, the first look is enough to make you feel like being in London, exploring a new place requires Taxi hopping, but here you don’t need a Taxi to try and experience the various delicacies from all around the London. It’s located in Kamala mills, right opposite Farzi Café, and is about 2.9 km from the Lower Parel Station.

The place is difficult to miss with all the bling and quintessential of London, the ceiling making its way for the London Tube Map. The interiors are perfectly lit with popping chairs. The place has a Lounge on the ground floor, fine dining on the first floor, and rooftop, about to begin on the top floor. The place has something for everyone.

We started with Rose Apple Soda:

The mocktail is a perfect blend of rose shrubs, red Apple juice. Top with Soda and garnish with Rose petals, refreshing and delicious indeed.

Hibiscus Pomegranate Soda:

Combination of Hibiscus, Kokum, infused with pomegranate shrubs. Topped with soda, out and out refreshing.

In appetizers we started with Plum and Soya Glazed Warm Chicken Salad:

Chicken breast is a slow cook giving Smokey flavors. With sauces, mushroom, Bakchoy, water chestnut, garnish with glass noodles, and slice baby radish.

Moroccan Fish Tikka:

The tandoor grill fish is served with smoke bell pepper. Along with the dips of Harissa, Aioli (mayonnaise seasoned with garlic), and Apple mint yogurt. Highly recommended.

Lebanese Chicken Kebabs:

Freshly minced chicken kebabs are little on a spicy side. Serve with Harissa and Aioli dip, it’s appetizing and luscious.

Smoked Cream Cheese Prawns:

Cream cheese and cashew nut marinate prawns are top with mint. Serve with tomato chili jam and Apple mint yogurt emulsion dips.

Truffle Scented Dark Chocolate Caramelized Cauliflower Veloute:

It’s rich, creamy, with a hint of truffle. Serve with home-made thyme cookie, very different and flavorsome, try for sure.

In mains we tried: Bangers and Mash:

The softest Bangers (Sausages). I ever had, it was indeed very fresh. Something that they made in-house to retain the softness of the chicken sausages. Serve with caramelize onion gravy, top with buttery mash and then the bangers. Highly recommended.

Gastro Pub Shepherd’s Pie:

Vegetables along with slow-braised Lamb. Forms the base which is top with buttery mash, on the sides. You have salad and artisan bread.

Mascarpone and Raspberry Sorbet:

The dish that leaves the maximum mark is always the dessert. Here we had Mascarpone and Raspberry Sorbet: Mascarpone (Italian cream cheese) in Raspberry Sorbet. Serve with lemongrass, crisp basil, beet orange, lemon curd, and Lavender pearls and tuile.
